Point lobos
Sorry for the extremely long tie between new blogs. I've been super busy growing my photography business as well as handling a few other things going on in my life. I actually took these about a month ago at Point Lobos in Carmel. The place is absolutely amazing. Definitely one of my favorite hiking spots and such a beautiful natural landscape. As you can see I even managed to capture a wild photographer in his natural habitat. Haha. I saw a deer as well!

Back Home
Back home again. After five years of college its nice to be able to spend time with the family again. As per usual my dad was outside obsessively cleaning his old '52 Chevy truck. As soon as he saw a camera in my hand he insisted I take some pics of his fourth child. Ginger (the cat) on the other hand was taking time to bask in the shade one of her many homes. I managed to catch her on the cusp of waking up from what looked like a really nice nap.

I always see this cat hanging around the same spot in my apartments. I pulled up today and just happened to have my camera on hand so I decided to take a couple of photos. There's always a challenge when photographing animals since they don't always sit perfectly still. This guy on the other hand barely noticed as I walked up to him and took his picture. Taken again with my 50mm lens on my 60D.

Had a great easter spent partially in Old Sacramento. I love the bike rental place I shot the first picture at. Its only too bad I can't afford to rent out a bike every time I visit. Guess my two feet will have to do for now;) The flowers managed to catch my eye as I was walking by and I felt compelled to stop and get a shot of them. It wasn't until I was brushing up against them that I realized they were teeming with bees; luckily I escaped unscathed. These were all shot on my EF 50mm 1.8 lens. Its a great little lens for the price and I highly recommend picking one up if your shopping for a lens to shoot video with. The wide aperture makes for some super shallow DOF and it performs great in low light conditions. Its pretty much my go-to lens at this point. I also used an ND filter with the lens since it was a very bright day out.

Intro to myself
So here I am. As I write this I admit I have little knowledge of what the future holds for me. I, like many recent graduates, am struggling to grasp a career I'm just starting out in. But as far as I'm concerned these trials and tribulations are merely a way of helping me appreciate life and embrace what ever it sends my way. After all, life is too short for negative thoughts. So from time to time I'll post photos, or videos, or maybe just blog about my day. More of my videos can also be found at my youtube profile http://www.youtube.com/user/moovyluvvr/videos .
